Loredas, 6th of Hearthfire (Journal)
When I set off, it was still dark and very chilly. I made good time though. I sold a few potions to Lucan and bought some glass and straw from him. I also spoke to Alvor and bought some more ingots. I still need quite a lot of supplies for improving the house. I could speak to the Steward and pay for the construction work, but it is much cheaper to do it myself.
Lucan had agreed to lend me his cart, so I mined some quarrystone and clay and used the cart to transport it back. He will pick it up when he visits Whiterun tomorrow.
On the way home, we were met by the peculiar sight of a giant mudcrab casually walking along the path, well away from the river. We have no idea why – however we are dining on Mudcrab legs this evening.
