I’ve been blogging on and off since January 2009. Which is quite a long time! I’m not really a very successful blogger – I mostly blog for personal enjoyment – to have somewhere to put screenies and somewhere to post the occasional guide I write for myself / my fellow kinnies.
This is very much a game-I-am-currently-playing blog. I started off blogging to chronicle my adventures in EQ2 and since then have tried a variety of post styles depending on what I was in the mood for and which game I was playing. I started at suzitastarshadow.wordpress.com and then switched in Feb 2013 under the guise of I was going to organise tags, media properly this time (spoiler – I haven’t), but to be fair, it was also move from the very eq2 specific title to something more general!
I generally stick to gaming topics, occasionally real life will creep in, but I don’t find that particularly interesting to do (I don’t post much on Insta or w/e about RL to RL friends/family either!).
If you’re interested in any of the posts and you’re on the site, the categories above are fairly well organised. I will add Blaugust 2024 to the Challenges/Series menu soon but I am using the hashtag as well.
I’m in my early 50s now, I’ve been gaming (defined as owning a console or pc for this instance) since around age 20 and played many different genres but I found I keep coming back to RPGs in various forms. Stand out series for me are Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls & Mass Effect. I also like playing various survival games (e.g Minecraft, Mines of Moria, Nightingale, Medieval Dynasty etc).
Currently I am in an amazing kin called Onodrimmoot, so lotro has been my focus for the last couple of years and we are having so much fun.
My failings as a blogger are consistency and accidental anti social tendencies. But I am hopefully proof that if you enjoy it, you can do it entirely for your own benefit! I would really like to improve both these things this year. So I will finish by saying thank you to anyone who finds my posts interesting or informative and for my fellow blaugust bloggers I will at least try to leave a like if I can. I’m sorry, I just find it really hard for some unknown stupid reason, I probably overthink it.
